Death Rents a beach house

Okay folks!  The moment that people all over the country have been waiting for has arrived! I realize this is going to completely overshadow all the “Barbenheimer” activities people have planned for this weekend, but I just can’t put this announcement off any longer!

My newest novel, “Death Rents a Beach House”, is now out and available, for Kindle or print, at Amazon!  This is my 5th novel, and the third Cape May murder mystery. It’s a really good and fun story, and I hope you like it as much as I do. Note that there is no requirement to have read the prior two books, “Murder at Exit 0” and “Murder Is a Shore Thing”, though you might enjoy them more in sequence. Similarly, if you know Cape May, that’s great, but if you don’t, just think of any small town or island. There is plenty of local color in the book, a bit of history, and (you know me) a good dose of mystery and mayhem. A fantastic summer beach read, or gift for the “Cape May person” in your life, or simply your reader friends.

If you are interested in the book, please note that, while it is available to order right now, I will not have any myself in time for this Sunday at the Rancocas Woods craft show event. (But please stop by to say hi if you can anyway – more on that and other events later.) I will certainly have a supply available for the August show, which is currently scheduled for Aug. 27.

Okay – gotta run. The phone is ringing and I’m pretty sure it’s either Spielberg or Scorcese calling about a movie deal. Those guys are hard to get away from!

Have a great weekend –

Murder is a shore thing has arrived!

Hello folks! Today, I am sharing the exciting news that my fourth novel, MURDER IS A SHORE THING,   is out and available on Amazon!! This book is my second Cape May murder mystery, and is a sequel to the previous book, MURDER AT EXIT 0. Follow along as Cape May Police Chief Tate Saxby works with his team and with officers from Wildwood and other shore towns as they rush to solve an outbreak of murder most foul! Enjoy a week at the shore, but keep your head down!

I do not yet know if this new novel will be carried by the shops in Cape May that sell Murder at Exit 0, but I am hoping so, and will work on that. For the moment, it is available on Amazon as a trade paperback as well as a Kindle version.

I plan to be doing as many signing events as I can, starting with the Rancocas Woods craft show in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, on Saturday September 24th. That will be, as always with those shows, weather permitting.

I hope you like the book, and please click the Menu button above to sign up for the newsletter, or just to contact me. I always like to hear from my readers!

Murder At Exit 0 !!

Greetings friends! Once again, I am way overdue to post an update here, but better late than never, right?

My third novel, “Murder at Exit 0”, was published via Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), in early June of this year, 2020.  It seems to be a big hit and people are enjoying it and saying good things about it.  While my first two books, “The Privilege of The Dead,” and “To Die No More,” were the first two installments of a series (there will be more), this third book is an unrelated stand-alone story.  A small-town murder mystery that takes place entirely in Cape May, New Jersey, in the dead of a bitter winter, I really believe it is a lot of fun.

The book is available on Amazon, in both print and Kindle versions, and is also carried at a few brick and mortar locations in South Jersey. In Cape May, the Exit Zero store, on Sunset Boulevard, has signed copies, as does The Whale’s Tale on the Washington Street Mall. I believe that the Cape Atlantic Book Company, also on the Cape May mall, is carrying it as well.

At the Rancocas Woods Shops on Creek Road in Mt. Laurel, Second Time Books has some signed copies available, along with The Craft Coleidescope shop, which is just 2-3 blocks up from there on the same road.

One thing about the new book that I am especially proud of is the fact that it was a top-ten finalist in the 2020 Clive Cussler Adventure Writers Competition!  While my book did not end up as the final winner, it is very exciting and a great honor to be included in the top ten, along with the other excellent books that were chosen!

Very proud to be in the top ten!

Please check out any of these stores if you have time when in Cape May or Mt. Laurel.  Also, at the top of this web page is a “Menu” button that will show you a link to buy the book on Amazon. If you do read the book, please consider taking a few minutes to leave a review on Amazon.  It is NOT required that you have bought the book from them, and doing that could be a big help to me.

Lastly, please feel free to use the contact form on this page (Menu button again), to make any comments or just to communicate with me for any reason.

Thank you all, and I wish you a safe and happy holiday season!

New novel “Murder at Exit 0” will be out soon!

Hello Folks! I am sharing the exciting news that my new novel (#3) should be out and available on Amazon.com by about the middle of this month. Murder at Exit 0 – A Cape May Mystery, is a departure for me. With a different cast of characters from the first two novels, this one is a small-town murder mystery that takes place entirely in Cape May, New Jersey. While the town in my book is a somewhat altered version of Cape May, you will still notice lots of references to real places. Many thanks to the owners of the Ugly Mug Tavern for letting me use “The Mug” prominently in the story. I think it’s really good am am excited to share it with you! Also – it has already made it into the top ten finalists of the 2020 Clive Cussler Adventure Writers Competition!!

New novel “To Die No More” has been released!

Hello –

Just a quick note to tell you that my second novel, To Die No More, went up for sale on Amazon a few short weeks ago!  I am working on scheduling a few book signings in the area, so that should be fun.  The book is a loose sequel to my first novel, The Privilege of The Dead.  It is not required that you have read the first book, but you would probably get more enjoyment out of reading them both in order.

Below are the final versions of the front and back covers.   Enjoy!

Here is the blurb from the back of the book:

A year after the blood-spattered events of The Privilege of The Dead, Dean Boudreau and his old Special Forces buddy Tommy Unser are again working together. As part of an elite and top-secret team of government assassins, they report to a mysterious man known only as “The Colonel.”

As the country sizzles in the summer sun, and tensions come to a boil, the team races the clock to uncover and crush a murderous domestic terrorism plot that reaches to the highest levels of power. The body count rises with the temperature as Dean, Tommy, and their lethal friends cross the country to dish out extra helpings of blazing hot lead in the name of justice.

From the strange landscape of the California desert, to deep inside our largest cities, and back out to the lush countryside of Kentucky, the whiskey…and the blood, will flow freely.

Book Signing for my novel The Privilege of The Dead!!

Hello everyone! Well, the book signing event for my novel “The Privilege of The Dead” went very well on October 27th.  Hosted by Second Time Books in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, it was a very enjoyable day.  I got to talk to lots of interested book shoppers, and signed quite a few books in the process.  A number of friends stopped in to say hello, including some who had already bought the book and wanted it signed. Though it was a drizzly and mostly grey day, it was a good time overall.  Thanks to all who came out!

Next book signing coming up this weekend!

We are now just a few days away from my next book signing event, which will be at the Barnes & Noble store in Willow Grove, PA.  The store is in a plaza roughly across W. Moreland Road from the Willow Grove Mall, between Easton Rd. and Park Ave.

The event is on Sunday, November 11th, and I will be there from 12 noon up until at least 2:00.  I may stay later if things are busy!

Drop in to say hi if you can–I hope to see you there!

On Sunday, November 11th, I will be at Barnes & Noble in Willow Grove, PA.  The store is roughly across Moreland Avenue from the Willow Grove Mall. I will be there from 12:00 – 2:00.
